Economic rewards obtainable with recycling

There are a lot of direct and indirect rewards linked with recycling. Practically all of them will come under 1 of the big three categories: environmental, economic and power. I like to call these the three E`s of recycling. Recycling creates a lot of jobs. The State of Pennsylvania reports over 52,000 recycling jobs with an annual payroll of $2.2 billion dollars. That's a great deal of cash and clearly numerous households are deriving a living by their involvement in this business.

That's only 1 state, but do the math - recycling is really a main employer in the economy and it is a growth market. In fact the U.S. recycling industry is estimated to employ 1.1 million men and women and be more than $236 billion annually. Feel of it this way - burning 10,000 tons of garbage takes one individual, while it takes six individuals to approach it at the landfill. However recycling that very same quantity of waste creates about 35 jobs!

So the next time you've got to crush those milk cartons and flatten the cereal boxes keep these recycling advantages in thoughts and know what a great thing you are doing. It`s a great feeling to be putting out 1 garbage can every week for our family of five as opposed to the two cans that employed to be there.
